The Culture Discovery Vacation to Barolo Italy this August/September was truly a trip of a lifetime. All the wonderful things described on the website simply paled by comparison to the real thing. It was a wonderful group of people, in a wonderful setting, doing wonderful things under the patient, warm and knowledgeable care of three amazing staff members. We were guided, taken care of, pampered and treated like we were the only group ever to experience this kind of trip. The cooking classes, the wine, the meals, the excursions and the hotel were beyond anything I could have imagined. Even though I was travelling solo I felt right at home with the group and the activities. This is truly a family operation and I have become part of the family. From being picked up at the airport in Milan at the beginning of the trip to being delivered back to the airport at the end of the trip, everything was so well thought out and made easy. It was fantastic! I am looking forward to joining CDV on another adventure soon.
